Village View from Tunbridge Schoolhouse

$250.00

$250 Unframed

In Tunbridge, one can easily observe the Vermont tradition of open space surrounding town centers. This small village, home of the Tunbridge World’s Fair, is surrounded by hills and set on a rise overlooking the fairgrounds and hay fields.

It includes the very first school in town, the 1810 brick building on the left. On a green and golden day one September, Euclid “Mr. Tunbridge” Farnham and farmer Wendy Palthey helped me make my selection from among the many old one-room school houses still standing. Walk into the scene and you are moving from past to present.
